Sapele battens & birch plywood wardrobe
This bespoke storage wall was designed and made for a couple who were wanting to personalise and organise their new home in Bristol.
The clients had very specific space requirements for their clothes, shoes, bags, accessories and helmets.
They wanted sapele battens to be incorporated into the design and birch plywood that would work with the other timber in the house. They didn’t want it to be overwhelming, but wanted a playful and bespoke geometric feature wall.
They wanted pull out boxes to organise clothes into and varied height metal rails.
I made the carcass’, door frames and drawer boxes from FSC Birch plywood.
The sapele battens were machined by me in my workshop, where I then carefully arranged and finished each piece on individual doors.
