Mid-Century Inspired Understairs Storage

This multipurpose understairs storage reflects the clients passion for mid-century & contemporary furniture in their downstairs open plan living space.

Sapele battens were used to draw upon the warm and tonal surrounding pieces and create something bespoke.
The design shows staggered cabinet depths which were designed to meet the clients specific food storage and general cupboard needs, as well as a dog bed plinth and a tall pull out drawer for brooms, mops and cleaning items. This bespoke design ensured the project did not encroach too much into the dining space, whilst still making it a design feature and meeting all the clients needs.
