Geometric inspired birch plywood wardrobe
This wardrobe was designed and made for a couple who had moved into a new build and wanted a bespoke wardrobe/storage area in a slightly awkward attic space. They had fairly specific requirements of how and what they wanted to store in this relatively tight space. More large drawers and shelves were needed than hanging rail space. A black powder coated hanging rail does sit behind the large tall doors. The handles were carefully prototyped to ensure user friendly, refined finish and comfortable use.
The clients wanted a simple Scandinavian inspired birch plywood design with triangular handles as a design feature and reflect the angular ceiling line.
The carcasses, drawers, shelves and door fronts were all made from FSC Birch plywood by me in my Bristol workshop.
All faces are finished in osmo raw and the edges in osmo clear to make them pop out against the paler faces.
