Batten Storage Wall

This bespoke storage wall was designed and made for a creative couple in a terraced Victorian house in Bristol.

The clients needed specific storage sizes for their musical instruments, arts & crafts, business and much more.

They asked for a cut out at the side with a shelf to be able to reach in and put their keys on when they get home.

They wanted a story of different reclaimed woods incorporated into the design, but with a refined finish.  This was achieved through fading batten doors.  All the batten pieces were reclaimed timber and off cuts from other pieces of furniture that I had foraged around Bristol.

The carcass is made from FSC Birch plywood and some other reclaimed bits of ply to form interim shelves where possible.

All batten material was machined by me in my workshop, where I then carefully arranged and finished each piece on individual doors.
