Bespoke Pair of Matching Beaumont Side Tables

These Sweet Chestnut Beaumont Side Tables were made for a couple who wanted a matching pair of bedside tables.

The local Devon couple had been storing the milled local Sweet Chestnut for about ten years, they wanted it to be used in the commissioned pieces. These pieces were much the same as my standard Beaumont Side Tables, but they had a few changes, making them custom pieces. The Chestnut was finished to keep it looking quite natural in tones and the cherry dowel elements were added for a subtle contrast and a mid century feel.

Solid local Sweet Chestnut was used for the main structure, drawer boxes, drawer bases and top.
Cherry dowel was used for the drawer runners lower dowel shelf and handmade scalloped handle.
